Our Programmes

Akash Radio brings to you a wide variety of programmes, including Sikh religious and spiritual content. There is community-oriented information and news content as well as music and entertainment. The USP of our programming is special section of programming in HINDKO, a language used by Afghan Sikhs and at the verge of being lost.

GURBANI PROGRAMMES

We broadcast Sikh religious and spiritual Gurbani programmes, includes simran, Nitnem, Sukhmani Sahib, Asa Di Vaar, Gurbani vichar, Kirtan, Gurbani Santhia, Rehras Sahib and Katha.

6pm to 8pm everyday of the week

Gurbani Santhia with Bhai Gursharan Singh Ji is broadcast Between 9am to 10 am, 7pm to 8pm and from

Midnight to 1am

KAMAL IN KOVERSATION

Kamal Preet Kaur hosts a wide variety of community programming in her weekday shows from 12 noon to 2 pm. First part, Kamal in Konversation is about News, views and topical stories interspersed with music. This followed by a different programme genre every day of the week. Mondays are discussion, Tuesdays are conversation with senior citizens, Wednesday is about books and literature, Thursday is about well being, Friday is dedicated to cooking and Saturday is kids special! Something for everyone across the week.
